Road trip: Sunday morning in the Algarve
Portugal is proving to be a treasure trove for me.
This morning began as wonderfully as yesterday ended, so for the duration of a new story, I’m making a leap forward in time to the present and my current location in the Portuguese Algarve.
It rained the last two nights. Good for nature—and good for me, since I didn’t have to water the garden. This morning, as I stepped out of the house, I was surprised by a sudden downpour under bright sunshine. It started with fat raindrops and was over in just a few minutes. Afterward, the air was warm and humid, and I could hear birds singing everywhere.
The real story I want to tell you, for which I’ve deviated from my narrative about my road trip from Spain to Portugal and jumped to the present, will follow in the next post. So stay tuned.
This story was first published on my German website and translated by me.
